Merit Fitness 725t Plus Treadmill Review
About two years ago I bought a Merit Fitness 725t Plus treadmill from Amazon.com for about $350. Most of the time I run outside but there are days where that isn't feasible. Of all the treadmills I looked at this had the best reviews, the features I needed, and by far the lowest price.
At the time I was a bit skeptical about why it cost so much less. After reading through the reviews it seemed like a decent machine.
Merit Fitness 725t Plus Treadmill: Pros
- It's a good treadmill. I vary in how much I use it but would estimate I've logged over 500 miles so far.
- There's nothing else available at this price and quality.
- It can handle higher speeds (I've run over 8 mph without problems).
Merit Fitness 725t Plus Treadmill: Cons (mostly little stuff)
-
The running surface isn't terribly long. I've not had any problems but at high speeds another few inches would be nice.
- There are certain speeds and inclines that produce a bit of a clunky sound. A slight change in incline or speed can solve the problem. For me the problem happens around 6 mph.
- My Polar heart monitor won't synch with the treadmill.
Overall I'm impressed with the Merit treadmill. Unless you are a highly competitive runner (or over the recommended limit of 250lbs) it should meet your needs for walking or running.
If you are wondering how much electricity a Merit Fitness 725t Plus treadmill uses I've recorded some numbers.
